“Touche’, Batman! It’s worth a look.  Let’s read it and see.”

The two begin reading and after just a few minutes, Robin cries, “HOLY DISOBEDIENCE, Batman!  Look, the problem is sin.  God created man and man chose to disobey Him. HOLY DISOBEDIENCE! I can’t believe no one ever told me about this book, Batman, this is incredible. We should be telling everyone about this.”

Holy Disobedience indeed, Boy Wonder “Can you believe this?  This world is cursed by sin and disobedience!  God drove them from the Garden of Eden because of sin; sin is the problem!” Yes, Boy Wonder, but look: God in His mercy killed innocent animals to cover the shame of their sin.  He made them a covering…and here, Robin, He accepted a blood offering from Abel but rejected the offering of Cain because it was from his hands, his own way…I think I perceive a pattern.

I can see it now, Batman and Robin are discussing the rising crime problem in Gotham City. The  jails are full, the news is all about crime and evil doers. There seems to be no answer. The dastardly deeds of degradation and darkness have the dynamic duo distressed and disheartened. The destruction and demise of devious, deceitful devilish demons of disguise and disgust have them have them discouraged and dismayed and dangling dangerously near defeat but with devotion to duty and determination the dedicated duo face a dire decision. What to do?

Batman, never one to give up says, “Boy Wonder, there must be a solution to the crime problem, we are missing something.” Robin says “Let’s not leave a stone unturned.” Batman replies, “There must be a root problem.” “Good thinking Caped Crusader, you mean something behind the alcohol and drugs. I see your line of thinking.”

There is silence as the two pace the Batcave. “Robin, there is a Gospel Crusade at the Gotham Coliseum. Dr Willy Graham is in town, I met him at lunch the other day and he gave me a Bible maybe the answers are in this book.”

“Batman, you’re not getting weak on me, are you?  You’re not looking for a crutch and some kind of religious spiritual answer to some very real problem, are you?” “Robin, I just believe we need to explore every avenue.  We need to check every angle for a solution…Besides that, Boy Wonder; I don’t recall any crime problems from people who believe in this book. They build all the hospitals, the orphans’ homes, the colleges…”

“Besides that Boy Wonder, rebellion against a Holy God. I believe we may have stumbled onto the real a problem.  It’s the nature of man to rebel, to disobey, to do his own thing…”

“Touche’, Batman! It’s worth a look.  Let’s read it and see.”

Boy Wonder.” “I can’t believe no one ever told me about this book, Batman, this is incredible.  Why is this not taught in our schools?”

“Robin, I’m wondering why it is not preached in our churches!  I’ve been to the Church of Traditional Rigormortis many times and never knew these things.  Do you suppose removing prayer and Bible reading from our schools several years ago could have something to do with the crime increase and home breakdown?”

“No doubt, Caped Crusader, this is an awesome book.  Have you read the part yet where God gave 10 Commandments for the people?”

Yes, Robin, imagine if people only know and kept these, we could close down the prisons!”

“There is a pattern here in this book.  We are sinful by nature.  Man has continually rebelled against God.  God calls for repentance.  Look at the pattern, Boy Wonder: man sins, God calls for repentance and a blood sacrifice to cover the sin and He then restores them to Him.” Jesus paid for our sin!

Why, it says so right here.  “If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’  Look, Robin, read it for yourself, Romans 10:9-10.”

Yes, Caped Crusader, and look here in Ephesians 2:8-9, ‘For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast.’”  LET’S DO IT!

Amen.  Let’s do it now! ... Holy cleaning, Batman!  I feel like a new creature…things seem so clear, like the light just came on, like a thousand pounds has been lifted…”  “Robin, you know, I’m glad its God’s free gift to man and it is all by grace and not of works, or else someone would add something to it.

“No kidding, Bruce.  I grew up going to churches.  I never heard about Jesus.  No one was saved, no one healed, no one delivered, I could see no reason for going. So I didn’t.  Others dropped out, too.

So much for that Robin. I’m making changes starting now. The mask is coming off!  “Mine too, Spiritual Superior, this entire costume is going … no more attention to the flesh.  “Let’s go Robin, the first on my list is Jimmy Pankin.”  “Who is that Bible Believer.”  “You know him as the Penguin, let’s go witness to him.” let’s go witness to him him.” himhimhimhimhim

All over Gotham City lives were being changed, the so-called “Dynamic Duo” always gave glory to the “Terrific Trio”. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The worst of the worst and the best of the  best were getting saved. A butler called Alfred was saved and one of the most notorious criminals in Gotham City, ‘The Joker’ was saved and recently gave his testimony in a recent gospel crusade in the midst of Gotham.

Skeptics abound, one of the cable  news networks, MSLSD has seemed to target Christianity and the changed lives but  people pray  for their salvation as well.  but people pray for their salvation as well.

In his testimony, The Joker said, “If God can love me, if Jesus can save me, there is hope for everyone.”

One of the observers stated, “You know, behind all of those masks were people that Jesus died for.” They were just living a fantasy life and for some reason did not feel welcome in the real world. Sin had warped their thinking and their attitudes but once they were exposed to the truth of the gospel and warmth of God’s Love … well, you know, you’ve heard the story, maybe you’ve even experienced it.  maybe you’ve even experienced it.
