THE AFTERMATH OF HIS PRESENCE
And when they were come out of the ship, immediately they knew Him. And ran through that
whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard He was. And wherever He
entered, into villages or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets and besought Him that they might touch if
it were but the border of His garment; and as many as touched Him were made whole.”
Mark 6:54-56
Seven
Scriptural Ways To Be Healed
1. The elders of the church can anoint with oil, pray
for them and they may be healed.
James 5:14-16
2. God’s people can lay hands on each other in prayer,
ask God for healing and people may be healed. Mark 16:17
3. God may grant someone the gift of healing with the authority to minister healing to others 1 Corinthians
12:9
4. God may grant healing in response to the
faith of the person who desires healing. Matthew
9:22
5. God may grant healing to someone in behalf of the
faith of others. Mark 2:45
6. God often heals through medical treatment. 1 Tim 5:23 Luke 10:34 2 Kings 20:7
7. God performs sovereign acts of mercy to heal. John 5 He takes the initiative. He does the work!
Perhaps there are other ways but the common denominator is it is always Jesus. Read
the scripture here in Mark. They heard Jesus was in the area and not knowing
how long He would be there they hurried to get the sick to Him. As they knew
He would be passing through a certain village or city they laid the sick in the streets, all they wanted was just to touch
His garment...they knew by faith, that would be sufficient.
Everyone that touched Him was made completely well! What a remarkable account here
in scripture. That’s not asking much, “just let me touch your clothes” but it is expecting and receiving
much. Everyone wants to be healed. Their investment in this healing miracle was enough faith that they made an effort to touch
Jesus. They went to where He was, even though in some cases, loved ones carried them there, they believe He could do it, they
believed He would do it, they made a move. Jesus disappointed no one. As many as touched Him were made whole.
Just for Jesus,
