Get Back in the Box

Some people chase because they don’t want to follow.

"God let me out of the box." Have you ever heard anyone say that? I know you have and we all likely know what people mean when they say it. However, after observing some of the people who have gotten out of the box I wonder if it was indeed, God, that let them out. I can tell you this from ministering in deliverance for many years . . . some people need to get back in the box

By that, I mean, some people in an effort to experience more of God and experience gifts of the Spirit got out from under "sound doctrine" and their itching ears have been scratched by preachers and teachers of "unsound doctrine." Now, a lot of people left good, solid, but incomplete doctrine, traditional teaching that was denominational and restrictive. Doctrine that was limiting to the working of the Holy Spirit. However, when they ventured out, did they get too far out? Have they entertained their own lusts in order to be recognized by others as being "spiritual." I’m just wondering. It is difficult to exhort and convince the gainsayers when their doctrine does not line up with the Bible The things that we speak, they must line up sound Bible doctrine

For the time will come and I believe, now is, when people will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lust’s heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. If the box is the Bible and sound doctrine get back in.

Why did you get out to begin with? I don’t know in my lifetime when I have seen so much "chasing after. . ."

I know many people who have come through our office running from teacher to teacher, listening to tapes, attending seminars and following every strange wind of doctrine. Yet, empty and without satisfaction in their Christian experience.

One of the biggest errors of doctrine I see is people "hearing from God." And people desiring to get a Word from God. Everybody is getting a word for someone else . . . get in the box. I don’t mean this to sound unkind, but it is out of hand and damage is being done. If the Bible is the box, if it is your source of sound doctrine then the only limitation of the Holy Spirit working in your life is your self. Please be careful in placing your trust in the words of man. God’s Word is our source of truth.

Remember when Peter got out of the boat it was at the invitation of Jesus. He experienced a great moment, he experienced a miracle, but then he got back in the boat. He was out because Jesus was there, but he got back in when Jesus did. The miracles you seek will happen because Jesus is there, not because you got out of the boat, or the box

If you want to hear from God, read His Word. Sometimes people chase because they don’t want to follow.

I believe that most people have gotten out of the box because they sincerely desire more of God and more from God, they have realized that it is not happening and not likely to happen where they are presently worshiping.

Unfortunately there are those who "say they are apostles and are not." We are to try them Apparently people have been getting out of the box for a long time . . . saying they are something when they are not. Be careful that you are not deceived.

Sound doctrine will stand the test. Let your box be God Word. There is security and safety in the box because God stands behind His Word."I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars" Rev 2:2

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Titus 1:9

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: Titus 2:1

Be serious in your efforts to glorify the Lord Jesus. Look at the Word in Colossians 3:13 "If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God ".

Don’t get distracted. Keep your focus on Jesus and on things above. This battle is one of dependency, be careful to not get confident in the flesh.

Admitting you can't do it all by yourself is not weakness, it is strength. Do things with His help. The lie of demons is to tell you that you can do it without God. Yet, the Lord Jesus clearly says in John 15:5, I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing Remember the wiles of the devils. Stay aware of the sneaky traps and trickery. Act in your God-given authority, it will always be honored by the Father, who gave it to Jesus to give to you. Praise invites God’s presence and causes the enemy to run.

Praise Him because He deserves it, give thanks to God for His continuous goodness.

Psalm 103:6, The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. Be ready to receive what is given liberally by the Spirit of God. It is from the glory of Jesus Christ Who is at the right hand of His Father, who is also your Father. Remind the demons that you are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. You are!

Receive what the Word of God describes as the fruit of His Spirit . . . love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Never forget that Jesus said, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." John 20:21. Thank you for your prayers and support!

Just for Jesus,

Don
